Mrs. Eliza Springer, age ninety-four, died Sunday morning at the home of her son, Edward Springer, near Oaklandon. She was born near Dayton, O. in 1830 and came to Indiana in 1837 with her parents and other emigrants. The family settled in Lawrence township. She was married in 1848 and for more than sixty years lived on a farm which is now a part of the land occupied by the Sunnyside Sanatorium.
Besides her son, Mrs. Springer leaves a daughter, Ida B. Cory, of Worthington, and another son, J. B. Smith, of Oaklandon. Funeral services will be held at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning in the Christian church at Oaklandon. Burial will be in the Oaklandon cemetery.
