Biography:
John Dempsey Dunagan, 86, passed away July 12, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, following a lengthy illness. Funeral services were held July 14, 2012, at Memorial Park Funeral Home, the Rev. Drewery Loggins officiating.

Mr. Dunagan was born November 30, 1925, in Gainesville to the late Andrew Dunagan and Mellie Cochran Dunagan. He was retired from Gilford Mill, where he had worked as a textile mechanic; he was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and a member of Murrayville Masonic Lodge.

Mr. Dunagan was survived by his wife of 62 years, Bonnie Dunagan; children Randall Dunagan, Elaine Dunagan Archer, Marilyn Dunagan Steadman, Patricia Dunagan Moore; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
