SYLVANIA, Ga. - Ruth Mintoria Saxon McBride, 86, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Bethany Nursing Center in Millen. She was born in Jenkins Co. and was retired from Thomson Co. in Sylvania. She was also a member of McDonald Baptist Church where she was the oldest living member.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Hoke S. McBride; Parents: Frank B. and Lillian Chance Saxon; Brother: Cecil Saxon.

Survivors: sisters and brothers-in-law: Gladys S. Pate of Waynesboro, Neda S. Looper and Frankie S. Adams, both of Savannah, Myra S. (John Thomas) Herrington and Jean S. (Lanier) Davenport, all of Perkins; brothers and sisters-in-law: James (Doris) Saxon and Carroll (Mary Ann) Saxon, all of Perkins and Alex (Lucille) Saxon of Sylvania; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation: Wednesday, August 29, 2007 at 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Funeral Services: Thursday, August 30, 2007 at 11:00 AM, at McDonald Baptist Church with Rev. James Barnes and Rev. Paul Moore officiating. Burial at McDonald Baptist Church Cemetery. She will lie in state at the church from 10:00 until 11:00. Pallbearers: Nephews. Honorary Pallbearers: McDonald Baptist Church Adult Sunday School Class.

In Lieu of Flowers: McDonald Baptist Church, Sylvania, GA 30467 or to the Charity of Givers Choice.
