PUYALLUP, Wash. --- Viola Victoria Murphy, 85, of Puyallup, formerly of Neodesha, died at 10 p.m. Sunday in Puyallup.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Neodesha City Cemetery in Neodesha, with the Rev. Dave Cheshier officiatin. Arrangements were made through Hills Funeral Home in Puyallup.
Mrs. Murphy was born Aug. 28, 1913, in Hallowell, to Isaac and Lavina (Boston) Lee, and lived in Wichita many years before moving to Puyallup in 1975. She was a sales clerk, working for 25 years for Sears & Roebuck Company before retiring in 1975.
She married Leo Murphy, and they later divorced.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth Murphy, Wenen, Ariz., and Darrell Murphy, Puyallup; four sisters, Treva Burns, Neodesha, Faye Alexander, Denver, Colo., Thelma Logan, Kendridge, Va., and Christine French, Weslaco, Tecas; a brother, Harry Lee, Columbus, Kan.; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
