Chester was a retired truck driver for the Kosmos Cement Company and a member of the church of the Nazarene in Valley Station.
Survivors include his daughter, Dorothy Thomas; sons, Gary and Steven Bennett; three sisters, Marie Gipson, Louise Troutman and Mildred Allen; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife,Virgie Mae Bennett; and a son,Chester Bennett Jr. Burial will be in Louisville Memorial Gardens-West.
