Herbert De Jong, 83, of Sioux Center, died Dec. 10 in the Sioux Center hospital.
Services were at 1:30 P.M., Dec. 11 in the First Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. B. J. Haan officiated. Burial was in the West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center.
Mr. De Jong was born Dec. 18, 1892, at Le Mars. He married Goldie Van Roekel March 14, 1918, at Hull.
He was in the hatchery and feed business in Sioux City for many years before retiring.
Survivors include a sister, Miss Jennie De Jong of Sioux Center, and two brothers, the Rev. Ben De Jong of Grandville, Mich., and the Rev. Frank De Jong of San Jose, Calif.
