The Wilkes-Barre Record, Wilkes-Barre, PA., Wed., Dec. 14, 1898, pg. 9- Mrs. J. Q. Creveling received a telegram yesterday from Bloomsburg announcing the death of her father, Mr. Hetler, who resided with his daughter, Mrs. E. M. Knorr. He had been in poor health for some time and the immediate cause of death was neuralgia. The deceased was one of the oldest residents of Bloomsburg, being a man 84 years old, and was a highly respected citizen. Besides Mrs. Creveling, he is survived by another daughter in this vicinity, Mrs. E. Frease of Wilkes-Barre. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.

He was nearly 68 or 88 yrs. old (hard to read) and survived by the following children, Mrs. E (Emanuel) (Harriet) Hill of Hazelton, Hiram H. Hetler of Lime Ridge, Mrs. Mary C. Price of Kansas, Mrs. Clara A. Freas of Wilkes-Barre and Mrs. Eli (Elizabeth) Knorr of Bloomsburg. Deceased had resided in Bloomsburg since 1891. Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. B.C. Conner at the house Thursday morning at 10 o'clock and the remains will be taken to Mifflin for interment.
