Mrs. Anna Cook, aged sixty-seven years, wife of J. B. Cook, a Second street grocer, died at her home a short distance west of Walesboro Friday afternoon, after a long illness. The deceased was a native of Ohio, but came to this locality with her parents in her early childhood, where she spent the remainder of her life. She was the mother of four children, of whom but one, W. S. Cook, survives her. The surviving son is a partner with his father in the grocery business in this city. Mrs. Cook was a kindly lovable woman who was esteemed by all who knew her well.
Funeral services were conducted from the late residence at 10 o'clock Sunday morning and the remains were laid to rest in the New Bellsville cemetery.
