Angela Anna Walther, 91, St. Thomas, died Dec. 5, 2001, at Hospice of Jefferson City. She was born March 23, 1910, in Meta, a daughter of John and Mary Dubbert Wankum. She was married April 16, 1929, in St. Thomas, to Emil J "Bud" Walther, who died Nov. 8, 1976. She worked as a teller for Meta State Bank for 20 years. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, St. Thomas, St. Ann's Sodality, the Ladies Quilting Circle, and the Over 50 Club. She also worked on community projects in St. Thomas. Survivors include: one daughter, Lucille Monat, St. Louis; one son, Thomas Walther, St. Thomas; and three grandchildren. Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. The Rev. Don Antweiler will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in St. Thomas, with a senior citizens rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m. Memorials are suggested to St. Thomas School or Hospice of Jefferson City.
