According to Marjorie Berg, the witnesses to the marriage of Otto Wankum and
Barbara Rackers were Lee Wankum and Laura Rackers.

Obituary of OTTO G. WANKUM in Mid-Missouri newspaper, March 1980:
Otto G. Wankum, 71, Meta, died Tuesday at his home (March 13, 1980). He was born may 13 1908, in St. Thomas, the son of John and Mary Duebbert Wankum. He was married on May 13, 1930 at St. Thomas to Barbara Rackers who died Jan. 3, 1953.
A life long Meta area resident, he was a retired farmer and press operator. He was a member of the St. Cecelia Catholic Church, Meta and the Holy Name Society.
Survivors include: Two sons, Charles Wankum of Meta and Otto Wankum, Jr. of Jefferson City; three daughters, Mrs. Marie Hoeller of Koeltztown, Mrs. Eleanor Athmer of Rolla and Mrs. Lorene Brown of Kansas City; one sister, Angela Walthers of St. Thomas; and two half-sisters, Mrs. Mary Bisges of Jefferson City and Mrs. Cecelia Strope of Montrose.
The rosary was said Thursday at 8 pm at the Stevinson Funeral Home, Meta. Funeral services were Friday at 10 am at the St. Cecelia Catholic Church, with Rev. Arthur Mersinger officiating. Burial was in St. Cecelia Cemetery.
