Allie was the daughter of Hickerson Jones (d. 1862) and Lucinda (nee Jones) Jones Hall Shaw (d. 1915). After her father's death, her mother remarried twice, to Samuel Hall (d. 1867) and Isaac Shaw (d. 1914). Allie had five half-siblings: Emma; Flora, W.A., James Davis Shaw, and Susie (d. Feb 1893).
Allie's mother, step-father, and siblings came to Missouri about 1882, and settled on a farm in the Harmony community of Holt County, southwest of Skidmore.
Allie married Dr David J Hunterson abt 1881. The 1900 Census for St. Joseph, Buchanan Co., MO shows that David was age 45, b. Pennslvania, Alice was age 39, b. Indiana, married around 1881, and they had 4 children, 3 living: Roy D. age 4, George O. age 7, and Harry age 9. The boys were born in Missouri.
