OLD RESIDENT OF ARCOLA PASSES AWAY

Arcola, Ill., Aug. 14. — Mrs. Christina Ehlenbach, an old resident of Arcola, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Wainscott, on Sunday afternoon after an illness of nine weeks.

Christina Hanson was born in Denmark at Rinkobing, on March 20, 1838. She came to America in the spring of 1861, and for a time resided in Mattoon. She was married to George Ehlenbach in Arcola. To this union seven children were born, Frank Ehlenbach of Duluth, Theodore Ehlenbach of Milwaukee; Chris and John Ehlenbach, deceased; Mrs. Kate Appleton of St. Louis, Mrs. Charles Wainscott of Arcola and Mrs. Gus Tessman of Terre Haute. The husband died on December 19, 1912. There also survive sixteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great grandchild.

The funeral services will be held at St. Paul's Evangelical Church Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock, Rev. Kniker officiating. Burial will be in Arcola cemetery.
