Mary Behanna Bright, 89, of Monongahela, formerly of Donora, died Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, in Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born May 18, 1915, in Webster, a daughter of the late John and Katherine Melniak Germock. Mrs. Bright worked as a beautician out of her home for many years in Donora and was a licensed practical nurse, working at the former Varners Convalescent Home in Finleyville and at the Washington County Home. She enjoyed crocheting and ceramics in her spare time. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Quinto of Fellsburg and Patricia VanKirk of Finleyville; a son, Samuel Behanna and wife Sally of Painesville, Ohio; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, John Behanna, in 1955, and her second husband, Earl "Bud" Bright, in 2002; four brothers, Stanley, Michael, Andrew and John Germock; and two sisters, Katherine Savarino and Nellie Grazetti. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the L.M. FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 West Main St., Monongahela, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 20, with the Rev. Raymond Ursin officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
