Hannah was one of four children of George & Alice [Lamboll] Glover. Her sister Alice who married John Brunsden. Hannah's other siblings were John & Margaret, (nothing further of them is known).

On 23 Feb 1691 in Baghurst, Hampshire, England Hannah married Joseph Gilpin the son of Thomas & Joan [Bartholomew] Gilpin.

In 1695 the young couple with two children, (Hannah & Samuel), crossed the sea to join their relatives.

The couple had a large family of fifteen children. They were:
