Adrian "Tots" Lunceford was born March 30, 1918, in Long Prairie, MN to Andrew & Lillian (Palas) Lunceford. Childhood years were divided between San Diego and Long Prairie, graduating from Long Prairie High School in 1936. He served his country in the United States Army National Guard, and was honorably discharged in 1945, returning to Minnesota.
Upon his return Adrian met Shirley Haden and they were married in June of 1948. Together they had two wonderful children, Craig and Ann, while living in Verndale, MN. They later moved to Long Prairie and were divorced in 1977.
Adrian was employed as a lineman for MN Power and Light for many years, retiring in 1978. Leisure time was spent fishing, road hunting, and annual deer hunts with his son and buddies.
On September 23, 1980 he was united in marriage to Irma (Bebault) Kamphenkel. They enjoyed many retirement years wintering in California, making new friends and family visits. Minnesota time was spent crafting, cane pole fishing, woodworking and time with family. Adrian was a member of the VFW Post 1140 where he served as a local and regional commander. In his later years, he enjoyed organizing reunions of his WWII National Guard Unit. He was a member of Peace United Church in Long Prairie.
Survived by his loving wife Irma; children: Craig Lunceford of Long Prairie, Ann (Dennis) Finch of Long Prairie, step children Rod (Linda) Kamphenkel of Long Prairie, Bradley (Lynette) Kamphenkel of Duluth, Debbie (Cary) Hudalla of Long Prairie, and David (Audrey) Kamphenkel of St. Cloud; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Kenny (Jan) Bebault and Dan (Jody) Bebault.
Adrian is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Orval Lunceford, Harold Lunceford, sister-in-law Nora (Bebault) Anderson and brothers-in-law, Howard Bebault and Charles Bebault.
