He was born in Wood county, a son of the late Charles and Hattie Mick Chichester. He had retired from American Viscose Corp. after more than 37 years of service, was a member of the AFL-CIO, and the 14th Ave. Gospel Mission, Parkersburg.
Surviving are his wwife of 70 years, Dessell Rose Chichester, two sons, William T. and Gerl W Chichester, both of Parkersburg; three daughters, Arlene Carlson and Betty McBride, both of California, and Regina Chaney of Parkersburg; one brother, Francis m Chichester of Vienna; two sisters, Bernice Gump of new Jersey and Mildred Headley of parkersburg; 23 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
