Son of August and Barbara Lorenz Wiler. Husband of Frances B. Pfundstein Wiler married in 1911. He died at age 87 suffering from coronary artery disease. He was a [retired] clerk in the Renova Division of the PA Railroad and a member of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks.

August J. Wiler, eighty-seven, a retired Pennsylvania Railroad Clerk, died at his residence, 2811 Wayne St., shortly before noon on Saturday following a brief illness. Born in Buffalo*, he was the son of the late August John and Barbara Wiler. He had been employed as a clerk for the Renova Division of the Pennsylvania Railroad for 35 years prior to his retirement 22 years ago. Mr. Wiler was a member of the Holy Rosary Church and the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks. Surviving are his wife Frances Pfundstein Wiler; two sons, Norbert J., and Charles L. Wiler; two daughters, Mrs. H. (Marie) Wellman and Mrs. Paul (Elsie) Davis; thirteen grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren. He will be buried in Trinity Cemetery.
