Elbert Dale Taylor; age 94, passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at the Sage Grove assisted living center in Rigby. Idaho.

Elbert was born April 26, 1921 in Las Flores, California, the Son of Curtis Wilmer and Annie Sophie Taylor. He grew up and attended schools in Rigby and Ririe, Idaho. He graduated from Rigby High School. He married Lila J. Cheney, June 30, 1948 in the Idaho Falls, L.D.S. Temple He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints, where he served faithfully in numerous callings. He served two missions with his wife Lila. One to the Philippines and one service mission to Deseret Industries. He enjoyed his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and gardening.

Survivors include, 1 daughter, Erma (Ronald) Butikofer, of Idaho Falls, 6 Sons: Steven C. (Connie) Taylor of Ammon, Dale E. (Thelma) Taylor of Idaho Falls, Charlie (Jeri) Taylor of Rigby, Nolan Taylor of Shelley, and Ernie D. (Gail) Taylor of Fillmore, Utah, 27 grandchildren, and 61 great grandchildren.

Elbert was preceded in death by his wife Lila, Son Phillip E. Taylor, Parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 15, 2015 at the Rigby East Stake Center at 11:00 a.m. with Bishop Michael Clark officiating. The family will meet with friends Sunday evening, June 14, 2015 at Eckersell Memorial Chapel from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and on Monday, June 15, 2015, from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services at the Rigby East Stake Center. Burial will be in the Rigby Pioneer Cemetery, under the direction of Eckersell Memorial Chapel in Rigby.
