OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN) - Wednesday, September 10, 2003

Truman H. "Bud" Hettmansperger, 93, 172 Shady Lane Drive, died at 1:11 p.m. Monday, Sept. 8, 2003, at Wabash County Hospital.

He was born on Dec. 3, 1909, in Wabash County, to Jacob Henry and Carrie Alma (Rife) Hettmansperger. He married Geraldine Thomas on Dec. 12, 1932, in Marion. She died on Nov. 10, 1990.

He was a farmer and owned and operated Bud's Texaco in Wabash for more than 20 years, retiring in 1970. He was a charter member of Calvary Chapel Worship Center.

Surviving are a son, Buddy (Jo Ann) Hettmansperger, Wabash; three grandchildren, Mrs. Stephen (Nancy) Stewart, Warsaw, Mrs. Charles (Lynne) Green, Indianapolis, and Dean Alan Hettmansperger, Evansville; and three great-grandchildren. One daughter, five brothers and two sisters are deceased.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Grandstaff-Hentgen Main Street Chapel. Pastor Steve Eckart will officiate. Burial will be in Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the American Lung Association.
