OBITUARY:
DEATH OF A WELL-KNOWN CITIZEN -
Mr. James Chambers, a well-known citizen and prominent Democrat of the N. W. Ward, died, after an illness of some two weeks, at his residence on the Harrisburg Pike, near James Street this morning. For many years he occupied the position of Foreman of one of the divisions of the Pennsylvania Railroad, and was a faithful and energetic officer. He was a quiet but useful citizen, a devoted parent, and warmhearted companion and friend, and it is with the saddest feelings that we chronicle his decease.
