RARITAN TWP. — Nunzio Mannino died on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 in Hunterdon Medical Center. He was 70.

Born in Cinisi, Sicily on Aug. 5, 1939, a son of Salvatore and Josephine Abbate Mannino, he had resided in Raritan Township since 1985, having formerly lived in Flemington.

A 1957 graduate of Lambertville High School, Mr. Mannino was a partner in his family's restaurant business, Olive & Fig, formerly known as Max's Bistro, a staple on Main Street in Flemington for many years. He also owned and operated The Hair Quarters, Flemington, for more than 30 years.

A U.S. Army veteran, he was a Communicant of St. Magdalen Catholic Church, Flemington, NJ as well as a member of the U.S. Trotting Association.

A brother, Anthony Mannino, died earlier.

Surviving are his wife of 41 years, Frances Mary Maxwell Mannino; a son, Michael R. Mannino of Flemington; two sisters, Stella Maltese and Connie Soriero, both of Raritan Township; two brothers, Fred Mannino of East Amwell Township and Salvatore Mannino of Delaware Township; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 9, 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine St., Flemington. Family and friends are asked to meet directly at the church on Friday morning. Interment following in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington. Calling hours Thursday, April 8, 1-3 and 6-9 p.m. in the Holcombe Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St., Flemington.
