Mary Frances "Fannie" Nelson was first married to a Thomas Stripling, (possibly a Jr.). They had one son, Benjamin Robert Stripling, born Dec. 28, 1861 (also buried in Evergreen Cemetery).

"Fannie" then married a Joseph S. Pugh in Houston County, Georgia in 1866, and had three children by this marriage: Edwin Worth Pugh, b. ca. 1867, Pauline Pugh born Jan. 1, 1869, and Arthur Pugh, b. ca. 1871.

Her second husband Joseph S. Pugh died about 1871.

Pauline Pugh married Thomas Iverson Arnold, buried nearby.
