Chico Record, Friday Morning, February 23, 1917, pg 8 col 8: W.S. Parker Passes Away In Stockton. The remains of W.S. Parker, a former resident of Chico, who died yesterday in Stockton, arrived here last night. Parker was stricken suddenly ill Wednesday night, and death came at an early hour yesterday morning.
Parker formerly resided on the Humboldt road, with several sons, who survive him. He left Chico recently to reside in Stockton, where he was employed.
The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the chapel of Fetters & Williams. Interment will be made in Chico cemetery.

78-year-old Wilson Shannon Parker was interred, per the Chico Cemetery Association Records, in the plot noted, on February 24, 1917.
