The 1900 census below was taken on June 11, 1900. If Margaret was indeed born on March 29 of that year - as the death certificate would indicate - her name should have been included here. But it's not. I am inclined to believe she was actually born in 1901 as the gravemarker shows. It is to be noted that her older sister Agnes was born in December of 1899; which would make a March, 1900 live birth of another child virtually impossible. T.N.

After her mother's death on July 18, 1911, Margaret's father enrolled her and her two sisters in the St. Francis Orphan Asylum, later known as the Citizens' Hospital and Orphan Asylum.
