Carlos Facha passed away May 10, 2013 at the age of 82. Carl was raised on his family's orchard in Newcastle, son of Boa Ventura and Angelina Facha.
Carl proudly served in the United States Army. Carl married his wife in 1950 and raised daughter in Lincoln.
Carl worked for Gladding McBean in Lincoln for over 20 years. He then was hired at Sierra College, working his way up the ladder, eventually retiring as Director of Plant Operations after 19 years of service. Carl served as a volunteer Firefighter at the Lincoln Fire Department and worked part-time for the San Francisco Forty-Niners at their summer training camp. Carl was known for his unbreakable work-ethic. He dedicated his life to the love and support of his family.
Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Boa Ventura and Angelina; brother, Alfred Facha; and son-in-law, Jim Langley.
Per Carl's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Sierra College Foundation.
