Hattie Hammond Griffith was born March 6, 1903, in Lake Point, Utah to William H. and Jerusha Garrard Hammond. She passed away December 3, 1998.
Married her sweetheart, Ralph L. Griffith Feb. 26, 1923. Sealed for all time and eternity Feb. 24, 1933, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. Hattie was a proud member of the Lake Point Relief Society, where she held many important positions. Hattie and Ralph had nine children and she is survived by seven of them; Donald W. Griffith, Grantsville, UT; Colleen Garrett, Las Vegas, NV; Albert (Carol) Griffith, Taylorsville, UT; Marlow (Delores) Griffith, Lake Point, UT; Gloria (Burton) Smith, Las Vegas, NV; Sherman (Carolyn) Griffith, Lake Point, UT; Joyce (Edwin) Clark, Las Vegas, NV; daughter-in-law, Tula Griffith, Tooele, UT; brothers, Wayne and Vaughn Hammond, Lake Point, UT; 38 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, several great-great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Paul Griffith, daughter, Shirley Cottrell, two sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday Dec. 8, 1998, at 11 a.m. in the Lake Point LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at Tate Mortuary 110 So Main St. Tooele on Monday from 6-8 p.m. and one hour prior at the Church on Tuesday. Interment Tooele City Cemetery.
