Terry L. Stanley 1933 ~ 2009 Terry LaVaughn Stanley, 75, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving wife and family March 9, 2009 after a long battle with heart disease. Born August 28, 1933 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Edgar "Ted" and Myra Mae Cox Stanley. Graduated from Jordan High School. Married Margie Louise Breitling, Dec. 10, 1954 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Served a 21 year career in the USAF retiring as a decorated serviceman. Worked and retired from the US Postal Service. Served in various leadership positions in the LDS church. Dedicated his life to the Lord as he quietly served those around him. Survived by his wife Margie, children Tina (Ray) Nilsson, Vaughn (Debra) Stanley, Melindalee (Mark) Stevens, 10 grandchildren, two 1/2 great-grandchildren, brother Verl (Paula) Stanley, sister-in-law Leola Stanley, brother-in-law Phil Baker. Preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Mazie Stanley (infant) and Teddy Baker, and brother Wayne Stanley. Congratulations Terry on your graduation! We love you and look forward to our reunion. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2009, 12:00 noon, Sandy 13th Ward Chapel 586 E. 8400 So. where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services. Interment South Jordan City Cemetery. A heartfelt thanks to the staff at the VA hospital and Haven Home Health and Hospice.
