Dorothy Ada Orme, age 82 of Howardsville died Tuesday Morning Sept. 24, 2002 in a Charlottesville Hospital. Born Feb. 25, 1920 in Cumberland Co., N.J.

She was a daughter of the late Harvey and Lola Durham. She was preceded in death by her husband George Orme on March 6, 2001. She was a homemaker, Retired Nurses Aid and a member of Word of Faith Church in Charlottesville. She is survived by a daughter Carol A. Griffith of Mt. Laurel, N.J. Five sons George A. Orme, William 'Bill' Orme and Wayne Orme all of Howardsville, Gene C. Orme of Amherst and Gary Orme of Troy. 19 Grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday Sept. 27, 2002 at 11:00AM at Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel in Lovingston with Rev. Ilene Lehmann officiating. Interment in the Orme Family Cemetery at Highland On The James at Howardsville. The family will receive friends one hour before time of service at the funeral home. Arrangements by Wells/Sheffield Funeral Chapel of Lovingston VA.
