Timothy married about 1786 Eunice Allen (1769-1851) by whom he had 8 children (4 sons and 4 daughters): Sally (1787-1870), Lydia (1789-1865), Betsey (b. 1793), Manoah (1795-1864), Ira (1797-1890), Polly (b. 1805), Levi (b. 1807), and Alanson (b. 1809-1849).

In the 1790 US Census taken in 1791 of the residents of Shoreham, Addison County, Vermont, Timothy was the 1st person enumerated in that town. He was then the Head of a Family with 1 free white male of 16 years and upwards (under 35 years of age), and 3 free white females.

Timothy was enumerated in the 1800 US Census of Crown Point, Essex County, New York as the Head of a Family with 2 free white males under ten years of age, 1 free white male of 26 and under 45, 2 free white females under 10, 1 free white female of 10 and under 16, 1 free white female of 16 and under 26, and 1 free white female of 26 and under 45 years of age.
