Dorcas passed away peacefully at her residence in Atwood on Wednesday June 25, 2008 in her 84th year. She was a daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Tughen) Hamilton. Dorcas was a member of Trowbridge United Church, Trowbridge UCW, Loyal True Blue Lodge No. 415 Trowbridge and an honorary member of the Listowel West Branch Institute.
She was the beloved wife of the late George Milne who predeceased her in 1998; the loving mother of Marilyn Fischer of Kitchener, Kathy and Barry Duncan of Atwood, Maureen Milne and Kathleen Rennie of Gowanstown; the special grandma of Allan, Angela, Tammy, Matthew, Glenda, Luke and 12 great-grandchildren. Dorcas will also be remembered by many nieces & nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband Bert Adams, great grand-daughter Leah, her brother Jack and his wife Dorothy Hamilton and her sister Anned and her husband Lorne Orth.
Dorcas' family invites relatives and friends to share their memories at the Brenneman Funeral Home 141 John Street, Atwood, on Friday June 27, 2008 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held on Saturday June 28, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michelle Owens officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Listowel on Monday June 30 at 11:00 a.m. A service under the auspices of the Loyal True Blue Lodge No. 415 will be held on Friday June 27 at 8:30 p.m.
