DIED: SEPTEMBER 4, 1949

Raymond N. Carey, 61, of 27 Saint Peter Street Schuylkill Haven, died suddenly of a heart attack at his home, 27 Saint Peter Street, on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock.

He was a son of the late Ezra and Nellie Warne Carey and was born in Nanticoke.

He was employed at the Earl Stoyer Garage, Schuylkill Haven and was a member of Grace Evangelical Congregational Church. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Americans, Pottsville.

Surviving are his wife, the former Flora E. Staller; one son Robert, Schuylkill Haven; one grandchild; three brothers, Charles and Arthur Carey. Pottsville, and Eugene, New York City; two sisters, Marion, wife of William Breininger, Pottsville and Frances, wife of Warren Schaeffer, Reading.

Funeral will be held from the D.M. Bittle Funeral Home, Schuylkill Haven, on Thursday afternoon and burial will be made in the Union Cemetery. Rev. B.P. Gieske, pastor of Grace Evangelical Church, will officiate.
