GOLD HILL - Ada L. Sells Isenhour Howell, 88, died Sunday (May 27, 2001) at the home of a son, William David Isenhour.
Born Aug. 30, 1912, in Stanly County, Mrs. Howell was the daughter of the late James Wesley and Annie Goodman Sells. She was retired from the China Grove Cotton Mill.
She was a graduate of Richfield School and Mitchell Home, now Pfeiffer University, where she was on the basketball team. She was a member of Matton's Grove United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by husbands William Howard Isenhour and Claude Hampton Howell, son James Edward Isenhour, and two grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m., Tuesday, Matton's Grove United Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Tony Bowman. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, at Hartsell Funeral Home, Albemarle. At other times, the family will be at the home of William Isenhour, 24583 Matton Grove Church Road.
