About 1955 Elmira and Felix moved to California with daughter Joyce.

Felix Lupien died on Tuesday September 18, 1956 at the home of his daughter Joyce Delina Goveia in San Leandro, Alameda County, California and his body was shipped back to Jacksonville for burial in the Diamond Grove Cemetery.
