(OBITUARY) Bernice Telitha Hudson, 92, of Poplar Bluff, MO, died Saturday, June 6, in a Poplar Bluff nursing home. Born Jan. 12, 1900 in Wesson, AR, she was the daughter of Peter Franklin and Laura Belle McKinley Simmons. She moved to Missouri in 1937, later moved to Michigan and returned to Missouri in 1977. Mrs. Hudson was a Methodist.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Milam Richard Hudson, in 1925; four brothers, Dave, Robert, Porter, and Carey Simmons; and five sisters, Eunice Hicks, Gladys Sims, Daisy Glasgow, Girtha Hudson, and Hilda Tolbert.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth Hudson of Gideon, MO, and Dick V. Hudson of Tyler, TX; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2:30 today in Arlington Cemetery. Burial will be under the direction of Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden, MO. (El Dorado News-Times, June 1992.)
