Todd N. Woertink, son of Harry and Stella (Greenfield) Woertink, was born April 8, 1949 in Estelline, South Dakota. He grew up and received his education in Castlewood, South Dakota, graduating in 1967. After graduation he worked for Dakota Welding until 1972, when he got started farming east of Castlewood. Todd was united in marriage to Brenda Rhody on May 15, 1970. Along with farming he started selling aerial photos during the winter months, which eventually turned into a full time job. In 2009 he moved off the farm into Castlewood where he lived until his death. He died on Thursday, May 2, 2013 at his home at the age of 64 years and 24 days.

He was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Castlewood. He enjoyed visiting with his family and friends, spending time outdoors, cars and racing.

He is survived by five children; Dustin Woertink of Watertown, Derek Woertink of Castlewood, Dallas (Darcy) Woertink of Watertown, Kalee (Cory) Jackson and Kelsi (Chad) Langenfeld, both of Castlewood; 11 grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister Kay Wieber and her husband LeRoy of Altamont, SD; one brother Leroy "Butch" Woertink and his wife Maureen of Medford, OR; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents.

His Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, Monday, May 6, 2013 at American Lutheran Church in Castlewood with Rev. William Hamill officiating.
