CARLISLE—CAMPBELL
John A. Campbell of Galena and Miss
Roxie Carlisle, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Doss Carlisle of Quaker Valley,
were married at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. J. B. Hodson by the Rev. Elwood
Haworth last Sunday. Many friends and
relatives attended the ceremony. Fol-
lowing the ceremony an elaborate wed-
ding dinner was served. The young cou-
ple then went to their new home at
Ninth and Elm streets, where they will
live.

Note: I believe that Anna and her brother John Alexander Campbell were actually born in Kansas City, Kansas. The 1900 Census does give Kansas as their birth places.

Once she was away from home, 1920 Census, she was giving Missouri as her birth place. I believe that may be because Kansas City, Missouri was the better known Kansas City.

I can't prove it, but I believe this may be the correct family:

Kansas City, Kansas Directory,1890

Name: Alexander Campbell

Year: 1889, 1890
