Mark Thomas Lewis, 84, of Spanish Fork, Utah, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013 of natural causes. Mark was born on June 18, 1928 to Leslie Franklin Lewis and Jane Argyle Thomas Lewis. Mark was one of six children and was raised on the old Lewis Ranch in Spanish Fork Canyon until he was 16. He then moved to the city of Spanish Fork, where he graduated from Spanish Fork High School. He married the love of his life, Joyce Clayson, on November 29, 1948 and were later sealed in the Manti Temple. Together they had six children; Connie Rand, Gaylene Davis, Cindy Casperson, Jolyne Beagley, Mark Lewis and Bob Lewis. They have 31 great-grandchildren, 65 great-great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-great-grandchildren. In addition to being a loving husband and father, he was a devoted worker at Geneva Steel, where he was employed for 31 years. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and traveling with his family and friends.

Mark is survived by his sister Bonnie Brown Clayson. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Rupert and Vernal Lewis, sisters Donna Llewelyn and Blanche Tadd, grandsons Jason Johnston and Ryan Johnston, granddaughter Kristi Casperson Swederski, and great-grandson Colton Johnston.

Funeral services will be held Friday, May 10th at 11:00 am at the 8th Ward Chapel, 1006 East 200 South, Spanish Fork, Utah. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening, May 9, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at the chapel or on Friday morning from 10:00 – 11:00 am prior to services. Interment will be at the Spanish Fork Cemetery.
