Caroline F. Evans, 101, of Youngwood, died Monday, April 16, 2012, in Hempfield Manor. She was born March 4, 1911, in Youngwood, a daughter of the late Ezra and Matilda (Steiner) Altman. She was a member of Missionary Alliance Church in New Stanton, taught piano, played organ for St Paul's Methodist Church in Youngwood and Missionary Alliance Church in New Stanton. She retired from First National Bank of Youngwood. Surviving are a number of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dayton Evans; and three sisters, Bessie Miller, Elizabeth Connors and Catherine Altman; and two brothers, Thomas Altman and Walter Altman. Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the C. RICHARD McCAULEY FUNERAL HOME INC., Youngwood. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Simpson officiating. Interment will follow in Middletown Cemetery, Greensburg.
