Mary E. Brightwell Brandenburg, 81, Anderson, died August 22, 2006 at her residence after a brief illness.
She was born December 20, 1924 in New Orleans, Louisiana, and resided in Anderson, Indiana. She retired in 1985 from Naval Avionics after 20 years of service. She was raised in the Church of God and was an avid bowler.
She is survived by her son: Dave & wife Pat Lagle of Havelock, North Carolina. Daughter: Yvonne ''Bonnie'' & husband Tom Burroughs of New Bern, North Carolina. Sister: Virginia Imel of Florida. Brother: Dennis Brightwell of Indianapolis. Special Family Members: Mary M. Willhoite, Irene Wilson, Henry Willhoite, James Willhoite and Cory Baker. Grandchildren: Bridgit Lagle and Jeff Badger. Great Grandchild: D.J. Lagle. Several Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents: William R. & Nina E. Brown Brightwell.
Services will be Friday, August 25, 2006 at 10:00 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson, with Rev. Steven Sumner officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 PM on Thursday, August 24, 2006 at funeral home, south chapel.
