Sarah Martha Dorris, 69, of Madisonville, Ky., passed away at 11:15 p.m. Tuesday January 5, 2010, at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was born April 4, 1940 in Hopkins County, Ky. to the late Archie Burden and Willie Dell Stroud Burden Zobel. She was retired from General Electric as a machine operator. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Roy Chester Eastwood; second husband, Richard Mack Dorris; two sons, Randy Eastwood and Russell Dorris; three stepsons, Billy Dorris, Murray Dorris and Monte Dorris; three brothers, Jerry Burden, John Burden and Stephen Burden; two sisters, Rita Nelson and Doris Cooper.
She is survived by a daughter, Penny (Raymond) Pleasant of Madisonville; a son, Robert (Vicki) Eastwood of Bartlesville, OK.; companion, Rickie Emerson of Madisonville; a sister, Norma (Henry) Kingery-Green of Madisonville; a brother, James "Butch" Zobel of Springfield, MN.; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday January 8, 2010 in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville, with Samantha Pleasant Althouse officiating and Ben Emerson assisting. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery in Madisonville.
