Information from Contributor #47115164:

Death 21 Apr 1885 in Old Creek, San Luis Obispo, California, United States (conflicts with cemetery records)

Spouse and Children:
William Alexander Rector (1809-1880)
Sarah F. Rector (d.1875) Wife of son John Potter.

-------------------------------------------
Mary Ann Potter was the wife of William Alexander Rector. She lived with her son John. At the request of William when he died, that his son John should take in his mother and care for her. I believe Mary Ann died in Compton. Since they were members of the Baptist Church in Cayucos, I believe the minister of the Church was asked to do a memorial service. The property on "Old Creek Road" was sold after William died. John had moved to Los Angeles before 1884, before his mother passed away. No death record was located in the San Luis Obispo area. I believe, had she died in Cayucos, she would have been buried next to William.
