John James Tannahill was the oldest of five children of John Tannahill and Mary Caldwell. He was born on Sep 15, 1874 in Elgin, Huntingdon, Quebec. He married Anna Eunice Watson on Sept. 21. 1904 in Hinchinbrook. To this marriage was born four children; Margaret Dorothy, Dorothy, John Watson and Eunice Mary. All of the children were born in Canada. He came to California and died in Sierra Co. in 1946. He is buried here in this cemetery.
