Maurine Pettit Moss passed away October 22, 2008 after a short illness. She was the daughter of Charles Lorenzo and Stella Wilson Pettit. She was born on April 9, 1928 in Geneva, Utah. She was married on December 3, 1944 to Joseph Blaine Moss. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. She was preceded in death by her husband on December 24, 1996.

A woman of talents, Maurine expressed them in her artwork, crafts, needlework, and her love of beautiful things. She loved her children, her church and was a good and faithful friend to many. We will miss her cheerful attitude and love of life.

Maurine is survived by her children Kayla E. (Robert) Cason, Lila (Richard) Hardin, Dan (Lin) Moss, Nina (Craig) Bowen and Louise (Marc) King. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Friday, October 24, 2008 at the Virgin City Cemetery in Virgin, Utah.

The family wishes to thank her generous and kind caregiver, Janet Hollis, and all of the compassionate hospice staff of Utah Hospice Specialists, who allowed her to remain in her home where she could be surrounded by her family and friends
