PAMPLICO — Mrs. Linda Marie (Sims) Andrews Stroud, 48, passed away peacefully Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 in her residence.

Mrs. Stroud was born in Florence on July 6, 1960. She was the daughter of Evelyn Marie Garner Miles and the late Doffer Lindell Sims, and the wife of Ronald Stephen Stroud of Pamplico.

Mrs. Stroud was a member of Olanta Baptist Church. She had such a friendly personality; she always had a smile on her face and never met a stranger. She loved animals, especially her Chihuahua, Sonny, enjoyed jazz music and had a special jack-of-all-trades ability to accomplish any task set before her. Mrs. Stroud was a dedicated homemaker. She took great care of her mother and family, putting their needs ahead of her own. She will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald Stephen Stroud of Pamplico; two sons, George Robert Andrews Jr. (Julie) of Lancaster and Christopher Jason Andrews of Wilmington; her daughter, Erica Stroud Miles (Wally) of Florence; her grandchildren, Claudia Stewart of Florence and Eric and Summer Bowers of Lancaster; her mother, Evelyn Marie Garner Miles of Pamplico; five brothers, David Marion Sims (Faye) of Turbeville, Robert Lindell Sims of Turbeville, Hubert A. Miles Jr. (Brandi) of Johnsonville, Mitchell Lindell Sims (Kimberly) of Coward and Buddy Allen Hair (Linda) of Olanta; her sister, Debra Hannaford (Danny) of Scranton; seven nieces; seven nephews; and thee great-nieces.

Mrs. Stroud is preceded in death by her stepfather, Hubert Miles Sr.; her maternal grandparents, Tom and Evelyn Welch Steele; her paternal grandparents, Marion and Elma Sims; and her step-paternal grandmother, Georgia Creel.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stroud were Friday, Feb. 20, in Brockington Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Matthews Cemetery in Lake City, South Carolina.
