Thomas L. (Tom) Hammons
Thomas L. Hammons passed away April 28, 2013 in Yuba City, CA. Born November 24, 1925, he was born and raised in Yuba City and lived most of his life in the area.

Tom was a World War II and Korean War Veteran in the U.S. Navy, achieving rank of 2nd Class Boiler Technician on the U.S.S. Guam and included service in China in the Korean War.

Tom retired from PG&E after 33 years working in the gas division, and then as a heavy equipment operator. He loved hunting, fishing and bowling and was a member of the YC Moose Lodge for many years.

Survivors include son, Steve Hammons (Debbie); daughter, Meredith Ray; 4 stepdaughters; and one stepson; grandchildren: Frank, Rebecca, Heather, Stacie; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Friday, May 3 at 1:00pm at North Valley Calvary Chapel, 613 Bogue Rd., Yuba City. Pastor Associate Ed Anderson and Sutter North Hospice Chaplain, Chris Madsen will be officiating. Burial follows at Sutter Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel.
