Funeral services for Mrs. Oma Lee Evers, 81, of El Cajon, CA, will be conducted at noon Thursday, May 12, 2005, from Shannon-Bryan Mortuary in Orange, CA.

Burial will be in Holy Sepulcher Cemetery in Orange.

Mrs. Evers died Thursday, May 5 in El Cajon. She had attended Sugar Creek School in Jackson County. She moved from Tennessee to Ohio in 1949 and to California in 1956, where she was a 30-year employee of Jolly Roger Restaurants and a long-time resident of Orange. Following her retirement, she was involved in a number of seniors activities in California and Nevada.

Born January 18, 1924, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of the late Willie and Farrie (Lynn) Lee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herb Evers; a daughter, Judy Coffee; 2 brothers, Eddie Lee and James "Buster" Lee; and 4 sisters, Nettie Smith, Belle Smith, Agnes Stafford, and Johnnie Dillon.

Survivors include 2 sons, Ben Evers and Wayne Coffee; 2 brothers, Herman "Bud" Lee and Byrne Lee; a sister, Josie Fields; 3 grandchildren, Allyson Evers, Joshua Coffee, and Summer Benjamin; and 2 great grandchildren, Jacob Coffee and Sage Benjamin.
