"Mrs. Leona Lewis. 45, of 1747 Faye rd., died Saturday in City Hospital after an illness of 15 months. A native of West Virginia, she lived in Akron 29 years. Mrs. Lewis leaves one daughter, Mrs. Lillie Briggs of Cuyahoga Falls; mother, Mrs. Belle Messenger of Akron; four sisters, Mrs. Laura Adams, Clara Messenger and Mrs. Delia Smollot, all of Akron, and Mrs. Rose Jones of Clarksburg, W. Va.; one brother, Ray Messenger of Akron, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p. m. Tuesday in the Prentice & Co. Funeral Home, 1154 Kenmore blvd., the Rev. Delmar White officiating. Burial will be in Greensburg Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p. m. Monday."
