Judith Kaye Grothe (1947- ) writes: "[He was] born August 26, 1889, Farsund, Vest-Agder, Norway. He came to US with his family in 1899 and lived in Kittson County, Minnesota. He served as a wagoneer in the 3rd Engineer Division of the Army during WWI. He never married. He worked at various occupations, mainly farming. He died on May 06, 1939 in Fargo, North Dakota and was buried in Clemetson Cemetery, Lake of the Woods County, Minnesota."
