Uncle Logan was a bit of a character. According to family lore he was a bit of a hermit. My own Uncle remembers him pretty well and confirms that he lived all alone in the woods. The grand-daughter of Arthur America Magers (his brother) says that when they were kids their Uncle Logan wouldn't let them into his cabin.. turns out he had built the cabin at the opening of a mine (or he dug the tunnel himself) and he was worried that "gasses" from the mine would affect them! What a guy... I wish I had known him myself...
