Funeral services for Aubrey D. "Orb" Gossett, 83, will be conducted at 2 p.m. tuesday in Errington Chapel with the Rev. O.E. Eldridge of Raton officiating.
Burial will be in the Mountain View Cemetery at Capulin.
Mr. Gossett, a resident of Capulin for some 50 years, died Friday afternoon at his home in Capulin.
He was born July 12, 1886, in Throckmorton, Tx., He was a member of the VFW Post in Raton.
Survivors include his wife, Bess of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Edna Johnson of Raton, Mrs. MayFair Rooney of Spokane, Wash., and Mrs. Hallie O'Neal of Santa Ana, Calif.;' a step-son, Clyde Hicks of Arkansas; a step-daughter, Mrs. Willie B. Harris of Riverton, Wyo,; two brothers, Pope of Watrous, NM and Jewel of Dimit, Tex.; a sister, Mrs. Essie Sessions of Stinnett, Tex.; 50 grand children, 52 great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.He is also survived by daughter, Roberta Gossett-Perkins.

He was the son of John Preston Gossett and Hannah Elizabeth Hollis Gossett. He was preceded in death by brothers, Frank Driver Gossett and Hollis Gossett. He was also preceded in death by children, Aubrey D. Gossett Jr., Allie Gossett, Dawson "Dot" Gossett-O'Neal.
